What sets Zies Food apart from the competition?
Years of Experience
Scott Zies started his career in the food industry when he got a summer job at a meat plant. In Scott’s words, “I got a summer job, and I never left.” Few individuals are fortunate enough to find a career that they are passionate about so early in life. Scott is thankful for the initial opportunity that he received, and every year he has built upon that experience. Today, as a veteran of the industry, he has a deep knowledge of what works and what doesn’t work. His knowledge makes him a sought after food industry expert in the Toronto area and throughout the world.
In 1995, Scott Zies earned his MBA from Ivey Business School at The University of Western Ontario (UWO) . Before earning his MBA, Scott earned his BA from UWO as well. The university, which is located in London, Ontario, first opened its doors in 1878, which makes it one of Canada’s oldest institutions of higher education. Scott looks back fondly on his time in school. He learned a lot of lessons that have helped him excel in his career. However, Scott has found that the best lessons are usually learned outside of the classroom.
Exceptional Customer Service
Communication and time management are two of the most important skills to have in Scott Zies’ industry. Most of Scott’s days start with contacting potential and current clients. Not every client prefers to communicate in the same way. For example, some prefer email, while others prefer speaking on the phone. Scott remains adaptable and caters to each client and his or her needs. In recent years he has adopted various social media platforms as another mode of communication. Scott believes that businesses that fail to adopt the latest technology miss out on opportunities to further connect with customers. In addition to communicating with clients, managing the inventory is another key element of Scott’s day-to-day responsibilities. Zies Foods prides itself on its ability to deliver high-quality food products right to customers’ doors in a timely manner. This goal can only be achieved by ensuring that inventory is always available and in the right location.
